Biography: 

JI Yuetong, Associate Professor, currently serves as Assistant Director of Single-Cell Center at Qingdao Institute of BioEnergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS-QIBEBT). Tong obtained B.S in Microbiology and Biochemistry from Jilin University in 2008, and joined CAS-QIBEBT. Her research interests focus on the development of single cell analysis and application of single cell Raman spectroscopy to reveal phylogeny, physiological status, and response to micro-environment at single cell level. Take micro-bacteria as research model, these effort will promote the application and industrialization of single cell technology in scientific research, industrial and medical fields. Tong already published ~20 peer-reviewed papers on Biotechnol Biofuels, Biotechnol J, Anal Chem, etc., applied for more than 10 invention patents, and undertake projects as PI, including general grant of Shandong Province, and Joint projects with companies.
